An exquisite French Rouen Forges Le Eux Platter. Commonly called “Cut Noir”, meaning Black Hass for the black underside of the plate. The off white crackle glaze with indigo floral detailing and a charming staple repair which is my favourite part of old stoneware. Lovely condition for its age - no chips and only a single hairline crack where the staple has been added. I love these platters styled on a buffet or hung on the wall, they’re such a wonderful way to add character to a space.
