A striking 19th century French mirror with original mercury glass. The gilt frame is wonderfully decorative with lovely patina and signs of age. This piece is definitely one of my favourites that I sourced on my buying trip in France. A truly special piece, marked ‘1815’ on the back by the maker, it’s an artwork within itself and would add such character to any space. A very difficult one to part with!

The piece has been restored beautifully by the previous dealer. There are a few small cracks to the outer glass, but the main plate is in lovely condition given its age.
