Breathtaking 18th-century French bird engravings, signed Bernard Direxit and dated 1775, each beautifully presented in a painted antique frame.
I sourced these from a market in France and immediately fell in love with the delicate bird studies and wonderfully aged frames. Dating to 1775, these are genuine 18th-century engravings rather than later reproductions, making them incredibly special pieces of natural history. I can’t tell you how excited the dealer was to show me the original dated markings on the reverse!
Beautiful mounted as a set, these are sold individually, allowing you to create your own collected arrangement.
